Introduction

The evolving landscape of document analysis and recognition stands as a testament to the relentless progress in artificial intelligence and computer vision. In recent decades, the imperative for intelligent systems to comprehend the intricate content and structure of documents, encompassing printed documents , handwritten notes and scene text, has become paramount in their ability to seamlessly operate and interact with humans.

This paradigm shift reflects a departure from solutions confined to highly controlled and restricted datasets. The contemporary challenges now extend to real-world scenarios, where documents are often plagued by degradation, noise, and variability. Factors such as hand-held cameras and the prevalence of handwritten data captured through mobile devices introduce a layer of complexity that demands innovative solutions.

In response to this dynamic landscape, the sixth workshop on document analysis and recognition emerges as a pivotal forum. This workshop is designed to be a crucible for the presentation and discussion of cutting-edge techniques crafted by researchers. It serves as a platform where peer experts from academia converge to share their insights, methodologies, and advancements in addressing the multifaceted challenges posed by contemporary document analysis and recognition.

By fostering collaboration and dialogue among peers, this workshop not only contributes to the collective knowledge in the field but also propels the development of intelligent systems that can robustly decipher and interpret diverse forms of textual information. As we stand on the cusp of a new era in document analysis and recognition, this workshop serves as a beacon, guiding the way toward innovative solutions that bridge the gap between theoretical advancements and practical applications in the real world
